Welcome to Waverly!

With over 15 years in elementary education—including my recent role as Waverly’s Assistant Principal—I am deeply familiar with our school’s goals and community. As a proud graduate of the Linden Unified School District, returning here to teach 4th and 5th grade for seven years was a profound homecoming. Over the years, I have served our district in various leadership roles, from being grade-level lead for curriculum councils and several committees to directing summer school and coordinating middle school sports. I am thrilled to transition into the role of Principal, following in the footsteps of Mrs. Riley, whose incredible leadership has left a lasting impact on our community. I’m looking forward to providing stable, visionary leadership needed to keep building our culture of collaboration and trust here at Waverly.

At the heart of my leadership philosophy is a commitment to mentorship and lifelong learning. Having been guided by an incredible mentor early in my career, I make it a priority to pay that gift forward by actively investing in our educators and cultivating future leaders within our own hallways. I hold high expectations for our students, pairing rigorous academics with a supportive environment to help them maximize their potential. Together, through collaborative problem-solving, I look forward to nurturing the vibrant school community that so many of us call home.
